Baykin is a surf-inspired clothing company based on helping the earth while providing the individuals who rock the apparel (The Kin) with comfort, quality and a sense of brand inclusion. Through user-voted themes, proceed donations to waterways of their choosing, and sustainable manufacturing the aim was not pure profitability, but more so a "Do Good, Feel Good" mentality. With that mentality also comes the strive for promoting other small businesses, where we used a small print shop out of state even if it meant bringing down our margins slightly. The name was developed because the owners are life-long friends, consider themselves a kin, and were born on the Chesapeake Bay, moved to Tampa Bay - Bay Kin.

As partial owner, and 1 of 2 creative board members, we aimed Baykin's branding towards emphasizing the key factors that helped build the business. A clean, modern style, mixed with unique elements of typography, graphics and uplifting colors promoted viewer attention. Once attention was grabbed, emphasis of the "Do Good, Feel Good" mentality, a chill-surfer vibe and the sense of inclusion kept users on board. Baykin's brand identity helped sell out its first product drop of 144 shirts with only 216 IG Followers (main marketing source) in the first 2 days — a 68% customer acquisition rate that resulted in sales of over $2,400 within those 2 days. After the product drop, SEO practices has driven over 750 organic users to the website in the past 20 days.
